The Problem
Moving to the UK for a tech role? Traditional salary calculators don't account for RSUs, sign-on bonuses, or the complexity of UK tax bands for high earners. I built this tool to help tech workers—especially those relocating—understand their true take-home compensation.
The Solution
A comprehensive calculator that handles:
- Base salary with UK tax bands
- RSU vesting schedules
- Sign-on bonuses
- National Insurance calculations
- Student loan repayments (both Plan 1 and Plan 2)
- Pension contributions
Built with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. Leveraged Claude AI for rapid prototyping and tax calculation logic validation.
